Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using mergepls (the "Service"), operated by The Tiny Rock ("we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

mergepls is a GitHub App that reads the diff, commits, and changed files of pull requests in repositories you connect, then uses third-party AI providers to generate a structured pull request description that it posts back to GitHub on your behalf.

3. Accounts and access

You sign in via GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for the security of your GitHub account. You authorize mergepls to act on your behalf within the scope of the GitHub App's declared permissions (read/write pull requests on installed repos).

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Lemon Squeezy. Quotas reset on the first of each calendar month. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process repositories you do not own or are not authorized to modify.
• Reverse-engineer, resell, or rebrand the Service without prior written consent.
• Submit content that violates law, GitHub's Terms of Service, or the AI provider's usage policy.
• Attempt to disrupt the Service, circumvent quotas, or extract data about other users.

6. AI-generated content

Pull request descriptions are produced by a large language model based on the content of your repository. We do not warrant that generated content is accurate, complete, or free of error. You are responsible for reviewing every description before merging.

7. Data we process

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to that processing.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from the dashboard (Account → Delete account) or by uninstalling the GitHub App. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users by email or via the dashboard for material changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
